Next stop the Grammys? Jedward show their serious side... as they cover Adele's Skyfall theme

They probably weren't the first choice to sing the James Bond theme, but Jedward have had a go at it anyway.
The excitable pop duo, who rose to fame as X Factor's joke act in 2009, are trying to change their image and have tried their hand at Adele's Skyfall.
Just in time for the film's release, the blonde twins have posted a YouTube video of themselves singing the ambitious song.

Instead of turning the performance into a cheesy pop number, as is there usual style, John and Edward Grimes have toned down their appearance and their singing in a bid for credibility.
Flattening down their cartoonish crop of blonde hair, the boys swapped the crazy outfits for simple white shirts and black trousers.
Instead of a glitzy backdrop, the 21-year-olds stripped back the video and simply sat on stools and sang, with the help of an acoustic guitar.

=Choosing a song by a Grammy-Award winning star may have been a push, but the boys certainly know how to tap into the zeitgeist.
With Bond fever sweeping the UK, the video is sure to become a talking point.

While it might be a surprise that the pair have done it at all, the real surprise is the positive reviews it has received on the video sharing website.
With nearly 20 thousand hits just two days after it was uploaded, viewers seem to like the acoustic version of the hit:
'Okay they surprised me by actually being rather good. I'm not that big a fan of there music but too say that they can't sing is a lie :),' (sic) said one review.
Another reviewer, who said that he wasn't usually a fan of the duo, also admitted that he thought the cover was good:
'I've never been what you'd call a fan of J&E (40yo man prob not target audience) but I honestly thought this was very nicely done. Good show chaps :),' he wrote.
