Miami Beach babe: Kim Kardashian heats up the red carpet in figure-hugging dress

She just landed in Miami on Friday and already Kim Kardashian is heating up the city.
The reality star arrived at the Midori Beachside Bash at Delano Beach Club looking white hot in one of her trademark figure-hugging dresses.
Kim, 31, poured her curves into the cream frock and looked refreshed for the event in Miami Beach.

The knee-length cocktail dress offered a subtle burst of colour with electric yellow patterns of starfish and seascapes.

Nipped at the waist with a studded neon belt, the dress was a perfect fit for Kim, who hasn't been seen in the most flattering of outfits lately.

 

Planting her pink-manicured hands firmly on her hips she was cool and confident as she walked the red carpet solo - with no sign of boyfriend Kanye West in sight.

Kim paired the dress with nude pointy-toe stilettos, and accented her tan gams with a gold ankle bracelet that slid down the front of her arched foot.

Wearing her hair straight with a wave at the ends and a deep side part, and foregoing her usual caked-on make-up, Kim went for an all-around more natural look, complimented by her minimal jewelry.

The star as of late as been seen by boyfriend West's side almost daily, but she seemed carefree and thrilled to be walking the red carpet solo, posing with a megawatt smile next to a glittering green Midori surfboard for the promotional event.

The ensemble seemed to be more in line with how fans are accustomed to seeing Kim - flaunting her curves in dresses tailored in all the right places.

More recently, she's stepped out with West in what has seemed like a rotating wardrobe of black and white.
Perhaps more embarrassingly for the pair - who have been dating since March after Kim's doomed 72-day marriage to basketball star Kris Humphries - is that they seem to rarely walk out the door without matching in some way.

The couple has been seen out in matching Air Yeezys - the popular trainers Kanye designed for Nike - on more than one occasion.

And both stars are consistently seen wearing black denim and ill-fitting shirts. 
It's certainly no secret the reality star, 31, turns to West for fashion advice - although they could at least break up the colour palette.

The rapper, making his debut on her family's hit show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, was seen earlier this month offering style suggestions as Kim got ready for an event in New York.

The pair gave another behind the scenes glimpse into their relationship in last week's episode, when they joined each other in London.
The show opens with Kim finding a surprise from Kanye in her hotel room - racks of designer clothes, including pieces from his own fashion label the rapper picked out himself.

And while she's usually seen strolling hand-in-hand with Kanye, and often giddy in the rapper's presence (and looked gleeful on the red carpet today) Kim arrived to Miami on a more sombre note.

Taking to Twitter after she landed, the star took a moment to acknowledge the horrific massacre which left 12 dead at the Aurora, Colorado movie theatre during Friday morning's midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises.

Addressing her 15million-plus followers, she wrote: 'Just landed in Miami & heard the tragic news re the shooting in Aurora. This is so devastating& beyond words. Nothing is worth causing so much pain to so many people. I'm angry and heartbroken.'
