Ashley Dupré, who rocketed to fame four years ago after it was revealed that then-New York Gov. Elliot Spitzer hired her as a high-end escort, has released a new book offering her advice on how to pick up, hook up, and date men.
The book, called ‘Tricks of the Trade: Advice on Sex, Love, and Lust,’ was released today by the New York Post.
Dupré, who was last seen in October and was heavily pregnant at the time with fiancé Thomas ‘TJ’ Earle, has written a column for the Post for the past few years giving racy advice to the lovelorn.
The resident Post ‘sexpert’’s book is comprised of these ‘Ask Ashley’ columns, written between 2008 and 2012.
The eBook, among other things, boasts chapters about relationships, fetishes, cheating, and family drama.
Her first piece of advice? Don’t date a vegan.
‘I don’t think I could trust a man who doesn’t eat red meat!’ Dupré writes in response to someone who is mulling a date with a vegan guy. ‘Ask yourself whether you can live like this for the rest of your life. Better yet, ask him if he could date a non-vegan!’
Past profession: Ashley Dupre worked as
high-price prostitute and inadvertently brought down New York Gov. Eliot
Spitzer in the process
She says that it’s better to wait for sex, ‘unless of course, you just want to get your rocks off,’ adding that physical and emotional chemistry just make intimacy more special and erotic.
She was talking about kinky sex when America thought '50 Shades of Grey' was a boring paint palette at Benjamin Moore.
-Introduction of 'Tricks of the Trade'
The introduction boasts that she was ‘talking about kinky sex when America thought '50 Shades of Grey' was a boring paint palette at Benjamin Moore’ and offers her heartfelt advice with generosity – ‘and never apologizes.’
Rise to fame: After it was revealed she was the
call girl used by Spitzer, Dupre revealed more of herself in Playboy and
made many media appearances
Daily grind: Ashley Dupre, without make-up, seen walking her dog early morning in the West Village
There’s a chapter on fantasies and fetishes, which deals largely with threesomes, cybersex, and affinities to shoes, rubber, and feet.
Dupré also doles out practical advice for the sexually adventurous, including the ins and outs of spontaneous, semi-public sex in bathrooms (‘Tell her you’re open to “doing it” in a cleaner place – so that you can make it extra dirty together.’) and knowing when a couple is ready to swing (‘I would speak to a sex therapist so you two can make this decision without any regrets’).
Shamed: The scandal with Dupre led New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer to step down from his post in 2008
A stint as a relationship advice columnist for the New York Post and a spread in Playboy followed the scandal for her.
Spitzer, meanwhile, was forced to resign over the prostitution scandal, but has since returned to the public eye, hosting ‘Viewpoint’ on Current TV.
