Taking baby steps: Hilary Duff shows off trimmer figure, two months after giving birth to son Luca

While many celebrities shed their baby weight in a matter of weeks after giving birth, Hilary Duff has deliberately kept her diet plan slow and steady.
But earlier today, the 24-year-old star was showing off a trimmer figure as she stepped out in Santa Monica.
A colourful top over black leggings and a grey cardigan paraded her  curvier figure to full effect.

Motherhood is certainly suiting the star, who looked in good spirits and smiled broadly as she made her way back to her car clutching a coffee.
Subtle make-up and bright red heels completed the look.
However, the star appears to have overdone it slightly in the California sun, showing a rather distinct tan line under her top.

Earlier this month, she revealed she would not be joining other stars in rushing to shed her excess baby weight.
'Obviously, I'm not where I want to be eventually, but I'm working hard and I'm doing everything I can to lose the weight the right way,' she told Us Weekly.
'I'm breast-feeding, so you have to be careful and not do anything too drastic.'
