Channelling her inner country girl: Katie Holmes tries out a new style as she dotes on daughter Suri in New York

She has been spending the majority of her time in the Connecticut countryside to film her latest movie role.
And while she seemed happy to be back in the bright lights of New York today, it seems some time out of the city has rubbed off on Katie Holmes.
The actress looked every inch the country girl as she stepped out with her six-year-old daughter Suri for a stroll in the sunshine.

Katie, 33, was sporting a pale peach blouse tucked into a denim miniskirt, topping her outfit off with a brown skinny belt and beige suede ankle boots.
Katie accessorised the Western-influenced ensemble with a two-tone shoulder bag and a stone-coloured oversized scarf.
The Jack and Jill star had piled her chestnut brown locks onto her head in a messy updo, but later let her tresses fall into a half ponytail.

Meanwhile Suri was sporting a grey T-shirt and pink shorts decorated with butterflies, with her feet clad in silver ballet pumps.
While Suri may usually act older than her six years, the precocious child was today embracing time with her mother and Katie was seen carrying the youngster in her arms.
Suri also seemed a little restless as she walked down the street while holding her mother’s hand.

Katie was taking a break from filming for Christian Camargo's untitled movie, a modern retelling of Anton Chekhov's famous play, The Seagull.
The new film is also set to star William Hurt and West Wing's Allison Janney.
Suri and her mother were seen making the most of the shooting location earlier this week by taking a dip in a lake to cool down.

No need for hi-vis! There's no missing cyclist Kelly Brook in her neon pink dress as she promotes Sky Ride

While a dress and heels are not exactly the most appropriate cycling attire, Kelly Brook looked sensational today as she promoted the Sky Ride in London today.
The model, 32, wore a pretty neon pink and white dress and cream wedges for the ride through Regent's Park.
Mindful of helmet hair, Kelly went without protective headgear and instead showed off flowing wavy locks.

The Piranha: 3D star has just returned from Cannes where she dazzled at a number of red carpet events and parties.

During an appearance on ITV's Lorraine today, Kelly discussed the notorious incident during the festival which saw her propositioned by a stranger.
A man approached her during her photocall with Keith Lemon: The Film co-star Leigh Francis and offered her €1 million to spend the night together.
Speaking to Lorraine, Kelly joked: 'I tried to find him, I don’t know where he went! I was like, "I’ll be five minutes, I'm just doing a photocall".'

Kelly said, 'it’s crazy’ in Cannes, but added she suspected the offer was a joke after spotting cameras following the would-be suitor.
'You have so many people down there doing crazy things like that, like little PR stunts, or they’re making TV shows,' Brook explained.
'I did see him in the crowd and he had a camera crew with him, so I think it was all a bit of a joke, I didn’t organise it, it was completely his whole thing. But yeah, I was quite flattered!'
The model also revealed that it takes her hours to prepare for red carpet events.

'It takes a while, I think for a red carpet event it’s usually about two hours. Especially in Cannes, it’s like a military procedure.
'Every day you’re going to an event or going to a meeting or something, so it’s really all about what you wear. And I love it, I love clothes, I love fashion so it’s good fun, but yeah you do get quite exhausted by it all.'

Could you actually wear any less? Miley Cyrus sports tiny shorts and a crop top as she marks Memorial Day

She's been working hard over the past few months to tone and hone her already slim figure.
So it's no wonder that Miley Cyrus just can't help showing off her slender physique.
Over the past few weeks, Miley has been seen wearing a variety of increasingly revealing outfits, culminating in a barely-there pair of lace shorts and a black crop top for Memorial Day yesterday.

The 19-year-old singer was accompanied by her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth and mother Tish as the trio were out shopping in Los Angeles.
Miley teamed her outfit with a pair of black biker-style boots, wearing her hair tied up in a bun on top of her head to keep cool.
She also accessorised the look with lashings of jewellery, including the lariat-style necklace she had worn to the Billboard Music Awards earlier this month.

In between hitting the shops, Miley was also seen joking around by climbing onto the back of an elephant statue outside the shopping centre.
She giggled as she pretended to ride the stone animal, before moving on to grab some lunch with Liam and Tish.

Earlier, Miley had treated her Twitter followers to a snap of herself enjoying the Bank Holiday, writing 'Such a lovely memorial day!' to accompany the shot of her reclining on a bench in the sunshine.
Miley has always been close to her family, and spoke recently about how mother Tish helped her through her break-up from Nick Jonas.
She told Dutch magazine Bravo: 'The first time I ever got broken-up with I thought my world was going to end, I was going to die right there and I couldn't keep breathing and go on. I was on tour and I could not get myself to go up on stage and smile and pretend like everything was OK.
'I would lay in bed feeling sick and so sad and my mum would hold me and tell me, "It's all good," and scratch my back until I fell asleep. And not waking up alone, waking up with my mum there, that is a time I will never forget.'

With the Queen's jubilee this weekend and Olympics in a few weeks time, London is the place to be at the moment.
So Ultimo have flown Argentinean beauty Luisana Lopilato to the UK for her first shoot in London for their new campaign.
It's obvious why Luisana, the wife of singer Michael Bublè, has been called one of the world's most beautiful women in the shots which were released today.

The 24-year-old looks stunning in the black bra and matching knickers with sheer fabric and lace detailing which are part of the company's new 'opulent' range. She modelled the underwear with animal print heels and a sheer black robe.

Since being signed with the underwear label six months ago, the actress has starred in numerous campaigns but this is her first London shoot.
Michelle Mone OBE, creator of Ultimo, said the time was right for Luisana to come to the UK to soak up the atmosphere ahead of the summer of sport.

'Luisana looks absolutely beautiful in our new campaign. She really knows how to work the camera and looks effortlessly sexy in our new range.'
Luisana said she loved visiting the capital. 'I had so much fun shooting the Ultimo campaign. The Ultimo products give your cleavage a great boost and are supportive,' she said.

Making a splash: Earlier this year, Luisana modelled Ultimo's swimwear rage including the Miami bikini, pictured, a cleavage-boosting bikini with silicone filled cups that can increase the look of the bust by two sizes

The thigh's the limit! Blake Lively flashes the flesh in stunning new magazine shoot... and reveals she's 'ready to move on' from Gossip Girl

It has been five years since she shot to fame as socialite Serena van der Woodsen in teen TV hit Gossip Girl.
So it's not surprising that, after a number of recent film roles, Blake Lively is 'ready to move on' from her fashionista alter-ego.
The star discusses leaving the show that made her name in a new interview with Bullett Magazine, posing for a series of sultry accompanying photos

One stunning photograph shows the star flashing the flesh in a white dress with a thigh high slit and striking metal belt, while another features the star in low cut red Lanvin.
Blake's long blonde hair is teased into a tousled beachy style, with subtle make-up showing off her  flawless skin.
The actress will film the final and last season of Gossip Girl this year with the final episode to be aired on U.S. network The CW sometime next year.

'I think the best way to describe it is like someone who really enjoyed high school, and is like, I’m a senior and I can’t wait for the next thing!' she tells the magazine of the eventual season finale.
'Gossip Girl was so great, but what’s the next challenge in life? Because, you know, six years is a long time.
'And as an actor who plays a caricature of myself on the show, I don’t think I’d say, "Watch Gossip Girl for my best quality of work." But I am very lucky to have had that experience.'
'I’m ready to move on with my life, and I can’t do that with Gossip Girl tracking my every move.'
Along with Ben Affleck movie The Town in 2010, the 24-year-old actress also starred in dramatic film Hick and Green Lantern opposite Ryan Reynolds, who she is now dating.
She plays Ophelia in the forthcoming Savages, a crime drama which sees her character kidnapped by members of a Mexican drug cartel.
And she found working with the movie's director Oliver Stone a particularly unique experience.
'Oliver is by no means a cheerleader,' she says. 'His movies very much reflect the strong, aggressive powerhouse that he is, so he’s not cooing at you along the way.'

'It was challenging because you want to feel like you can do no wrong, especially with your director, but that definitely wasn’t the case here,' she recalls. 'It’s not a good thing or a bad thing – it’s just the way he works.'
The star, who is reported to have purchased a new home with actor Reynolds in New York state, also tells the magazine she is 'slow to build friendships.'
She adds: 'They always end up being long and lasting. The way that I meet people is the same way that I’ve always met people. It might be weird if I was on JDate, but I’m not, so that’s good.
'I meet so many people in passing at parties, but I’ve never been a person who’s like, I know I just met you, but let’s exchange numbers and be best friends.'

The girl with the golden touch: Poised Kate is centre of attention as she recycles Jubilee lunch outfit for her first Palace garden party

All eyes were on the Duchess of Cambridge this afternoon as she charmed guests at Diamond Jubilee garden party - and scored extra points for recycling a dress she wore two weeks ago.
Notching up another landmark in her life as a royal, crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of Kate as she mingled with poise and elegance at her first Buckingham Palace garden party.
And for the auspicious occasion, clever Kate demonstrated her thrifty side by giving a second outing to the £1,200 Emilia Wickstead dress she wore for the Royal Sovereign's lunch in honour of the Queen's Jubilee at Windsor Castle two weeks ago.
Then, eyebrows were raised after so-called 'High Street Kate', notorious for her love of affordable clothing, chose a current season designer item costing more than the average monthly salary.

But with this second appearance, Kate has silenced her critics - and proved that she is a thoroughly sensible royal who is so much more than a mere clothes horse.
She joined the Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall, and the Queen for tea and cakes with 8,000 guests within the grounds of the royal residence as the family prepares for this weekend's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Kate attended the event without her husband, the Duke of Cambridge, who instead remained at RAF Valley on Anglesey where he is a search and rescue pilot.
It was the second Palace garden party of the year and guests from all walks of life enjoyed another warm day after the unseasonably hot weather of recent days.
The band struck up the National Anthem as the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh appeared at the top of the steps and a hush fell over the assembled crowd.
Then applause broke out as the couple, along with Charles, Camilla and Kate, made their way towards their waiting guests, who were invited after nominations by institutions, charities and businesses.
